PCC Integration with Dietech
Dietech and PCC have a seamless integration and provides real-time updates from PCC.
This EHR integration saves the user time because your residents' information is pushed into Dietech eliminating double entry of information like new admissions, room changes, diet changes, etc.
More of the benefits are listed below.
- Automatic Resident Admit/Discharge
- Automatic Diet Order Update (Meal pattern and selective menus are automatically updated to reflect this)
- Automatic Food Allergies (Related adjustments updated, future selective menus updated to reflect food allergies)
- Special Needs, Adaptive Equipment and Feeding Status.
- Room Changes
- General Resident Information (Height, Weight, Name, Physician, etc.)
- Weight History
How Easy is it to get started?
We have a very simple initiation process for integrating with Dietech. The facility would make a request inside of the main PCC Application Marketplace, we receive the request and the process starts.
Diet Orders - Our Physicians enter random things in the Diet Order. How will that interface with Dietech?
Dietech will prompt the user to match the diet order to one inside Dietech. Once matched, going forward it will match automatically.
New Admissions/Discharges - How do I know when a resident has been admitted/discharged from PCC?
The user should review the dashboard to see recent admissions/discharges inside Dietech.
Resident Goes to Hospital - Do they get deleted or discharged inside Dietech?
The user can select from 3 options. Discharge, Discharge and Delete or Ignore the message.
Return Resident - When a resident returns from a hospital, will all of the data be brought back into Dietech? For example, food preferences.
Yes, if you are admitting the same resident in PCC w/ the same Medical ID number. Information never leaves Dietech, all of the meal pattern and adjustments will still be there. All the diet, food allergies and demographics will come back over from PCC.
How Long does it take to get started?
It takes about a week for PCC to process the paperwork, then 2-3 weeks for PSI to integrate it with Dietech. Usually within a month you will be integrated.
